Letting curiosity lead my way. Software is the medium of my self-expression.

My motivation stems from a deep curiosity about the unknown. I’m always fascinated by how the world’s greatest creations come to life—the intricate processes, collaborations, and moments of inspiration that transform ideas into something extraordinary. From iconic products to timeless art or cutting-edge technology, I’m driven to understand the magic behind these innovations and apply those insights to my own work. This curiosity fuels my versatility as a designer.

I take great care in everything I bring into the world, inspired by the torchbearers—people and brands that push boundaries.

In the tech world, my goal is to make things more human. To me, design is the only discipline in the product-design-dev trio that truly drives the human factor and fosters meaningful connections between builders and users beyond just providing utility. That’s where I can help—my work goes beyond crafting functional user interfaces; it’s about creating experiences that resonate with people.

Cities that I have lived in:

Chengdu -> Beijing -> Xi'an -> Savannah -> Kansas City -> Atlanta -> New York -> San Francisco -> Shenzhen -> Oakland

Things that excite me in the design process:

  1. Discovering new perspectives

  2. Understanding a bit more about the world

  3. Forming elegant solutions

  4. Crafting beautiful and fun artifacts

  5. Being Creative

Books that I'd recommend to anyone:

  1. Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Harari, Yuval Noah

  2. Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

  3. Atomic Habits by James Clear

Book debts I owe (I'll pay you $5 if you find these debts are not paid off by next year…)

  1. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig

  2. Noise: A Flaw in Human Judgment by Cass R. Sunstein, Daniel Kahneman, and Olivier Sibony

  3. Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

  4. The Stranger by Albert Camus

I believe the power of passion, the power of you really care about something, will drive you to greatness.

  • Ruthless Authenticity – Anchored by a deep commitment to transparency and honesty, no matter the challenge.

  • Endless Curiosity – Driven by a desire to explore the unknown, to continuously ask ‘why’ and uncover new perspectives.

  • Boundless Passion – Powered by a love for creation and the relentless pursuit of meaningful impact.

If I'm not a designer, I'll probably be a chef.

Food is my greatest passion outside of design. I see strong parallels between culinary art and design, and I constantly find them informing and inspiring each other.
